According to the study results on the protection of epidermal stem cell against UV stress with and without grape stem cell extract, in which some were exposed to UV-A + UV-B light at 450kJ/m² while some without the exposure, the CFE of epidermal stem cells decreased to 58% when exposed to UV radiation (control). On the other hand, grape stem cell not only offset the damages of UV yet increased the CFE of epidermal stem cells, concluding its protection of skin stem cell against UV stress.

Study was carried out culturing collagen containing medium and treated with glyoxal, a glycation inducer in fibroblasts. Commonly, collagen lattices were produced in the fibroblasts when cultured in collagen containing medium.
As shown in the both figures, the presence of sakura extract of 100μg/mL and 1000μg/mL improve the growth of fibroblasts and formation of collagen lattice, concluding its efficacy in preventing glycation of fibroblasts hence the effectiveness in preserving skin ECM (extracellular collagen matrix).

Results show tremella polysaccharide has a remarkable efficacy on skin moisture content.
